At the bench.
Every jewellery maker has to have a decent bench. And a strong one too as it's going to get quite a lot of use in a short space of time. There are loads of pre-made benches to be found on jewellery tool sites like Cooksons, Bellore, Cousins and Walsh etc.
For me it was a case of "make your own mate, you cant afford it"! This worked in my favour as I got the type of bench I needed. I managed to secure some oak kitchen worktop from Ikea and some other hard wood from a timber merchant to do the legs. It took me about a day to join everything together. I made two benches in the end! I had enough to accommodate my polishing motors, drill, pickling tank and rotary barrelling machine.
